SCU Hack-A-Stack
SCU Hack-A-Stack May 16–17, 2026 | Heafey Atrium, Santa Clara University
AI isn't coming. It's already running production systems. Now it's your turn to build with it.
SCU Hack-A-Stack is a 24-hour hackathon run in two laps. Lap 1 is an 8-hour sprint: build fast, ship something real, and compete for sponsor track prizes before the grid resets. Lap 2 runs through the night, where the builders still standing compete for the overall title using every tool in the stack.
What you're building with: Redis, Hypescribe + VoiceOS, AdaL, ButterBase, Tencent Cloud, GetStream. Plus a real-world problem statement from Cisco.
What you can win: $10,000+ in prizes including cash, a Mac Mini, Claude subscriptions, API credits, and sponsor swag. Tracks span Best Entrepreneurial Project, Best Use of VoiceOS, Best Cisco Track, Best Use of AdaL, Best Use of ButterBase, Best Use of GetStream, and Best Use of Tencent Cloud.
Who's in the room: Engineers, founders, and technical experts from every sponsor track plus the Ciocca Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Real feedback. Real connections.
