Indigenous Climate Action and Seniors for Climate Action Now! Present: Indigenous Climate Leadership for Our Collective Future
Born in the fossil fuel capital of Canada, Indigenous Climate Action is holding the predatory fossil fuel industry to account for the massive environmental disaster that is the tar-sands, its lies to the Canadian people and the world about “green oil”, and its distortion of the economy. SCAN! Is proud to partner in this important webinar.
Members of SCAN! – Seniors for Climate Action Now! –want a caring, equitable and caring society. We see the severe changes to climate driven by fossil fuels, colonialism and war and by the complicity of governments. We are angry and deeply worried for this and future generations. We are proud to support the courageous and visionary leadership of Indigenous Climate Action.

Indigenous Climate Action: Uplifting Indigenous movements, voices, and grassroots organizations for a decade - ICA will participate on the opening day of Toronto Climate Week with a grounding in Indigenous values, rights and true climate solutions. This presentation is in partnership with Seniors for Climate Action Now! and is intended to increase awareness of False Solutions with a focus on the challenges of Nature Based Climate Solutions.
About the Host: Indigenous Climate Action (ICA) is an Indigenous-led organisation guided by a diverse group of Indigenous knowledge keepers, water protectors and land defenders from communities and regions across the country. We believe that Indigenous Peoples’ rights and knowledge systems are critical to developing solutions to the climate crisis and achieving climate justice. ICA works on connecting and supporting Indigenous communities to reinforce our place as leaders driving climate change solutions for today and tomorrow. We model our work and organisational structure on systems of free, prior and informed consent and self-determination. By providing communities with knowledge and resources, we can inspire a new generation of Indigenous climate leaders building solutions centred around our inherent rights and cultures. www.IndigenousClimateAction.com
