BOOK CLUB & ART PULL-UP with Angelah

​Summer has gone by fast, but hopefully you found some time to relax, recharge, and get into a few good books, including our summer Book Club readings.

​The next gathering of Book Club & Art Pull-up with Angela is Sunday, September 20 at 3 pm.

​We’ll come together to discuss The Last White Man by Mohsin Hamid, an allegorical novel about identity, race, belonging, and what happens when the world as we know it begins to change.

​Our summer reading assignment also included a Pick Your August Adventure, with three additional books to choose from:

​📚 Burn Down the Master’s House by Clay Cane. Sharp, powerful stories exploring race, resistance, and American culture.

​📚 The Buddha of Suburbia by Hanif Kureishi. A witty coming-of-age novel about a mixed-race teenager navigating identity, family, and 1970s London.

​📚 The Husbands by Holly Gramazio. A funny, inventive novel about a woman whose husbands mysteriously keep changing every time someone emerges from her attic.

​Come ready, as always, for a thoughtful, lively, and rich conversation. Whether you loved the book, struggled with it, or are still figuring out what you think about it, there will be plenty to unpack together.

​The afternoon will also include an ART PULL-UP, so feel free to bring whatever you’re working on: drawing, painting, writing, knitting, sketching, or any other creative project.
