Budapest Hardware Club #1: Modern Firmware Development
Budapest Hardware Club is a technical meetup for people building physical products: firmware engineers, embedded developers, electrical engineers, PCB designers, hardware founders, makers, and technical students.
The first event is about modern firmware development: how to build and test firmware before the final hardware is available.
We will cover practical approaches to:
firmware architecture that separates logic from BSP/HAL code
simulation and hardware digital twins
firmware CI
mocked peripherals and reproducible test cases
what can and cannot be tested without the real board
The goal is to reduce bench dependency, find bugs earlier, and make firmware development rock solid
Format:
18:30 - doors open
19:00 - intro
19:10 - talk: Modern Firmware Development: Build Before the Hardware Arrives
19:25 - demo, technical examples, hands on exercises, bring your laptop for this part, and USB C cable!
20:00 - open discussion, hardware stories, networking
21:00 - end
This is a practical engineering event.
Big thanks Puzl Coworking for the space!
