About Event

📍 1 Triton Square, London NW1 3BF

We are living through an unprecedented experiment. Billions of people, including entire generations of young people, are spending hours each day on platforms designed to capture attention, reshape identity, and alter mood. The consequences for mental health, sleep, body image, and social connection are only beginning to be understood.

Join us for an evening of honest, evidence-based conversation about what social media is actually doing to our bodies and minds. You will hear from thought leaders working at the sharpest edge of this question, and leave with a richer understanding of the science, the stakes, and what might be done. The evening also includes a guided breathwork workshop, a rare moment to step back from your screen and reconnect with your body.

This event is part of the wider mission of King's College London's Centre for Technology and the Body, where researchers are urgently examining how technology, from smartphones and wearables to ultra-processed food and environmental pollution, is reshaping human health and how we see ourselves. This work has never been more needed.

Join us to be part of this conversation!
