Breakfast Session: Designing Capital for Impact | Long-Term Capital, Long-Term Impact
Rethinking time in capital allocation: systemic solutions need patient capital, and long-term investments need long-term investment structures.
For foundations (asset side), family offices, pension funds and other long-term asset owners, this raises a fundamental question: how can long-term assets be invested in ways that better match the time horizons of the asset owners, the businesses they finance and the impact they want to achieve?
Join us for breakfast with Aunnie Patton Power, co-author of the forthcoming book Brave New Capital and reformed M&A investment banker, Alexander Langguth, Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Übermorgen Ventures, and Leo Caprez, Co-Founder & CEO of Brainforest, all joining in person.
Together, we’ll explore evergreen and other permanent-capital structures, while looking more broadly at how capital allocation on the asset side can generate both financial returns and impact, and how ownership, power, structure and incentives shape where capital flows, who benefits and what impact it can create. And we’ll ask why, despite their potential, alternative models can still be surprisingly difficult to raise.
