About Event
Tuesday, October 6 | 12:00 PM | John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Ave NW
The D.C. Council is working on legislation to legalize driverless robotaxis. Thousands of good jobs are on the line, and so are our streets.
Waymo, owned by Google's parent company Alphabet, is lobbying to put its vehicles on D.C. roads. The jobs go away. The profits go back to Silicon Valley. The traffic and safety concerns stay here.
D.C. needs a human-first economy. That means family-sustaining jobs and technology that serves us, not the other way around.
