Violin & Viola Duos on Governors Island!

​The Glass Clouds Ensemble hosts Lara Lewison and Nick Pauly for an afternoon of string duos in a cozy arts salon!

​Lara and Nick will perform three buoyant and dramatic works for violin-viola duo. Featuring: Manuel Ponce (1882 - 1948, Mexico), Johann Kalliwoda (1801-1866, Czech), and Robert Honstein (contemporary, USA).

​​ABOUT THE ARTISTS

​Nick Pauly is a violist and composer from Brooklyn, NY, with a penchant for counterpoint and city sounds.

​Lara Lewison is a violinist and painter based in Brooklyn NY, and is currently a visual artist-in-residence at the Glass Clouds House.

​​​VENUE

​The Glass Clouds Ensemble House (Building 14, Nolan Park) is a beautiful community arts space with cozy seating, art exhibits, and sound installations.

​Governors Island is a short ferry from Manhattan and Brooklyn – ferry schedule & more info. It's a great place to spend a weekend day, rain or shine, with lots of art, bike paths, and food trucks!
