infinite summer 7% checkpoint
I am seated in a conference room, surrounded by heads and bodies. My posture is consciously congruent to the shape of my hard chair. This is a cold room in downtown Toronto, glass-walled, corporate-Memphis-hung, double-windowed against the June heat, insulated from Administrative sounds by the reception area outside, at which Bookclubmeister Georgia, Mr. Salimi and I were lately received.
Meeting to discuss the first 7% of Infinite Jest. Outstanding pupils will have been reading the auxiliary texts prepared for the original Infinite Summer, but, as long as you've read up to page 73, consider yourself welcome.
I would like this book club to be a little more serious than my normal book club, so it would probably be good for you to take lots of notes.
I will probably host the book club at a park somewhere nearby Ossington & Dupont, I will send more specific details 2-3 days ahead of time.
If you aren't already on my book club discord server (not required to participate but nice to have to chat to people), send ne a friend request @hotfemoid.
