Life Itself Research: Weekly Meeting
This is the regular weekly call of Life Itself Research - a research collective exploring paths to a Second Renaissance and awakening societies.
This week's topic
Annick de Witt: A Worldview Theory for a Time Between Worlds: From Crisis to Development to Transformation
This talk introduces an emerging worldview theory connecting cultural crisis, human development, and transformation.
It offers a diagnostic lens for understanding polarization, a philosophical resolution to the development/dignity tension, and a new account of how worldviews change - not through information or prescription, but through creating conditions that activate our inherent potential for growth, at scale.
These ideas are also being translated into concrete interventions - including the Worldview Journey, a generative dialogue practice, and an action-research project on breaking through polarization on society's most divisive issues.
