I've been thinking about organizing this networking walk for a while now, and figured why not make it happen before 2025 ends?
Join me for a scenic Saturday morning walk from Fort Mason to Torpedo Wharf. We'll pass the Palace of Fine Arts, stroll through Crissy Field, and end up right under the Golden Gate Bridge. It's completely flat, totally free, and way better than another Zoom call.
The Route: Fort Mason → Marina Green → Palace of Fine Arts → Crissy Field → Warming Hut → Torpedo Wharf
About 4 miles total round trip (but flexible!)
100% flat paved path
Turn back whenever you want if you need a shorter walk
How It Works:
10:45 AM — Meet at Lower Fort Mason
Near Equator Coffee. Grab your own coffee at Equator if you’d like. Quick intros and settle in.
11:00 AM — Start the walk
We head toward Marina Green at a relaxed, conversation-friendly pace.
11:15 AM — Palace of Fine Arts stop
Short pause for photos and our first partner rotation.
11:30 AM — Continue toward Crissy Field
Natural second rotation as we walk along Marina Green.
11:45 AM — Warming Hut break
Restrooms, water, and snacks available. Light regroup.
12:00 PM — Torpedo Wharf group photo
Golden Gate Bridge backdrop. Easy, flat five-minute stretch from the Warming Hut.
12:15 PM onward — Wrap or continue connecting
Walk back together at a casual pace, or keep networking on your own timeline.
Optional lunch in the Marina for anyone who wants to join.
What to Expect:
Walking at a casual conversation pace (slow enough to actually talk)
Meeting new people
Great views without a strenuous workout
Swapping LinkedIn info along the way
Zero sales pitches (please!)
Who Should Come: Students, Job Seekers, PMs, consultants, customer success folks, data professionals, or anyone in tech/startups who wants to expand their network while getting steps in.
What to Bring:
Comfortable walking shoes
Water bottle
Jacket/layers (it's almost always breezy by the water!)
Your phone (for LinkedIn exchanges)
Cash/card if you want coffee along the way
Good to Know:
Paid parking lot available at Fort Mason; some free street parking nearby in the Marina (but leave time to find a spot!) - use SpotHero
Dogs are welcome (leashed)
The route is fully paved and wheelchair accessible
Restrooms available at Fort Mason, Palace of Fine Arts, and Warming Hut
Rain date: Last minute if it changes (I'll email everyone by Friday night if the forecast looks bad)
Not Included: This is simply a fun community walk I’m hosting on my own. No sponsors, no organization behind it. Everyone grabs their own coffee/snacks. It’s a relaxed, self-guided walk, so please look after your own safety and pace yourself however you need.
