Warsaw Supper Club: British Pub Lunch
british pub sunday lunch // 16th august
forget every sad "British pub" you've stumbled into abroad with lukewarm lager and a microwaved pie.
this is the real thing, done properly.
we're doing a full British pub lunch, the kind you'd drive out to the countryside for. think roaring fire energy even in August. here's what's on the table:
to start
a proper cheese selection, because no British meal begins without one
then
scotch egg with homemade brown sauce, crisp shell, soft yolk, made from scratch
the main event
steak and Guinness pie, all buttery mash, rich gravy, garden peas. slow-braised beef that's been sat in Guinness until it falls apart. this is the dish the whole lunch is built around
to finish
sticky toffee pudding with custard, warm, sticky, the only correct way to end a British meal
12 seats only, so it stays intimate and everyone actually gets to talk to each other, not shout across a table of 40.
all drinks included.
wine, beer, soft drinks, all of it, poured freely all afternoon.
