OpenAI Build Week Community Buildathon - Manila
Join us for OpenAI Build Week Manila, a one-day Buildathon for people who want to get hands-on with the latest changes across ChatGPT and Codex, including the new GPT-5.6 family of models and ChatGPT-Live-1. ⚡
This is a chance to learn what is newly possible, meet other serious builders, and turn that momentum into a working prototype. We will begin with a practical Codex kickoff, then spend the day building, getting feedback, and showing what we made.
This is not just a meetup or a talk. The goal is simple: build something real with Codex.
☀️ What to Expect
We will start with a practical Codex session, then move straight into team formation and build time. You can start from scratch, improve something you already have, make a developer tool, prototype an AI-native product, or explore a workflow that makes people more effective.
Teams will submit a working project, demo it live, and receive feedback from judges.

This Buildathon is for:
Developers and AI builders
Students with strong project interest
Indie hackers
Open-source contributors
Startup founders and operators
Product or design people exploring AI-native workflows
No prior Codex experience is required, but you should be ready to build, bring your own laptop and charger, and stay for the full event.
You are welcome to build in any direction. A few starting points: agentic coding tools and workflows that give developers more leverage with Codex; AI-native products where AI is central to the experience; developer tools that help people build, test, debug, document, or ship; evals and reliability tooling that measures and improves agent performance; or domain agents that solve real problems for a specific community or industry.

Codex credits & API credits will be distributed.
Prize winners will receive:
🥇 1st Place: USD 5,000 in Codex credits
🥈 2nd Place: USD 2,500 in Codex credits
🥉 3rd Place: USD 1,000 in Codex credits

📝 Registration
Capacity is limited, and registration is subject to approval. If you are applying as a team, each member should register individually. Please register only if you can attend in person for the full day and bring a laptop and charger.
