About this session
Friday @ The Pillars is a ticketed Currents event in Sydney, bringing together founders, investors, operators and aligned partners.
This is not a traditional networking event.
There are no pitches, no panels and no forced introductions.
Instead, we focus on high-quality rooms, thoughtful conversations and creating the conditions for connections that carry beyond the afternoon.
This format mirrors our flagship sessions across Australia and is how we continue to build Currents as a consistent, trusted environment for the right people to meet.

Before the main event, we will host a Currents Connect Luncheon from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
This is a smaller, curated table designed for deeper conversation, followed by a seamless transition into the wider Friday @ The Pillars room.
The luncheon is intentionally limited so we can run proper matching and share introductions ahead of time.
In-room conversation
Each session brings a live topic that reflects what people are actively working on.

Introductions Before the Room
Every ticket includes 2 curated introductions.
Before the event, attendees complete a short set of questions.
We use this to identify who should be in conversation with who, and share introductions ahead of time.
Each person is matched with:
• One person who can help solve a problem they have right now
• One person they are well placed to help
The intention is simple:
less guesswork, fewer random conversations, and more meaningful connections.
Every introduction has a reason.
Both General Admission and Currents Connect Luncheon tickets include introductions.
Drinks
Your ticket includes access to a shared bar tab on arrival, covering basic alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Once the bar tab runs out, guests are welcome to continue purchasing drinks directly from the bar.
