Founders Friday by Neo with Sujo John
For the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Neo will interview Sujo John, Founder of YouCanFreeUs.
Arriving in NYC with just two suitcases and $50, Sujo landed a job on the 81st floor of the WTC North Tower, while his pregnant wife worked on the 71st floor of the South Tower.
On September 11, 2001, at 8:46 AM, islamist terrorists crashed the first plane into the North Tower, impacting floors 93 to 99, just 12 floors above his office. Sujo evacuated 81 flights of stairs down to the plaza, only to watch the South Tower collapse while standing roughly 20 feet away.
Huddled in the rubble, Sujo miraculously survived while everyone around him was crushed to death. Crawling out through the soot, he learned his wife had been delayed that morning, sparing both her life and their unborn child.
Sujo is a motivational speaker and humanitarian who has taken his message of resilience and hope to millions around the world.
His non-profit YouCanFreeUs is an international human rights organization that is fighting modern slavery around the world.
From universities and community events to Fortune 500 companies, he has been inspiring people to live out their full potential and to be a catalyst for change.
We'll discuss his story of survival that day, how his life changed right after the attacks, the creation and growth of his non-profit, how he rebuilt his mental resilience, and his ongoing mission to support others and inspire the community.
