Billion Oyster Project Pride Kickoff!
Thanks in large part to the courageous work of a diverse array of activists, HIV/AIDs is no longer the death sentence it once was, should one have access to treatment. The severity of HIV/AIDs necessitated urgency from activists. While there is still work to be done to increase access, this is a monumental shift worthy of celebration.
Climate change necessitates a similar urgency from us all should we hope to avoid or minimize its most dire consequences. How can we learn from the successes of AIDs activist organizations to improve our work as climate activists and professionals?
Join the Billion Oyster Project DEI Committee for a screening of How to Survive a Plague followed by a discussion exploring these intersections of collective activism and creative survival. Following our discussion light food and snacks will be served as we enjoy a guided creative activity!
