About Event

through a warm, approachable conversation led by madison wilde, LAMFT, guests will be invited to reflect on how they connect, protect, and open up in platonic relationships while exploring the role the nervous system plays in how we experience closeness, safety, vulnerability, and care.

together, we’ll gently consider how platonic love, not just romantic love, can stir both comfort and fear, and how our bodies often shape the way we move toward or away from connection.

this conversation will create a deeper foundation for authentic connection throughout the event, setting the tone for a night that goes beyond small talk and makes space for meaningful conversation, self-discovery, and the possibility of genuine new friendships.

the craft: inside / outside mask: through this creative reflection activity, participants will design a two-sided mask that explores the parts of themselves that are visible in friendship and the parts that often remain hidden. One side of the mask will represent what friends or chosen family may see when old attachment wounds, fears, or protective patterns get activated, such as shutting down, overexplaining, pulling away, or reaching for reassurance. the other side will hold the inner world beneath those reactions: the body sensations, emotions, stories, longings, and tender truths that often go unseen. this process offers a meaningful way to explore self-protection, vulnerability, and the deeper layers of platonic love, care, and connection.

the presenter: madison wilde (she/her) is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with advanced training in child and family therapy, as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), two of the most respected, evidence-based approaches for deep relational and emotional healing. she specializes in helping young adults gently untangle internalized patterns and reconnect with the parts of themselves that were overshadowed by survival roles. she currently works as an individual and couples therapist at Relational Realm Therapy in Philadelphia.
