About Event

Regional collectives are emerging as a critical pathway for advancing freshwater ecosystem conservation at scale. Many groups are already working at basin, sub-basin, or landscape levels, but often face challenges around coordination, facilitation, governance, and sustaining collective action.

This 1.5-hour working session builds on the discussions and notes from the recent Alliance convening and is the first step in shaping a Regional Collectives Circle within the Alliance for Conserving Freshwater Ecosystems. The focus of this session is to collectively identify the key activities this circle should undertake over the coming year.

Together, we will:

  • Build on insights and needs surfaced during the convening

  • Further articulate gaps and priorities for regional collectives

  • Explore how the Alliance can support stronger, more holistic collective action

  • Identify a focused, realistic set of activities for the next 12 months

This will be a participatory, working session aimed at translating earlier discussions into a clear, actionable agenda for the Regional Collectives track.
