​The fifth meeting of OTC book club! 📖📚

​All of us will group together to share our experience of the books "The Rest of Our Lives" by Benjamin Markovits as well as 'Just Mercy' by Bryan Stevenson.

​For the first time, we will try to cover both books

​About the book:

​The Rest of Our Lives is a 2025 novel by Ben Markovits. The novel tells the story of 55-year-old law professor Tom Layward, who is disgruntled and unhappy with his life.

​A Story of Justice and Redemption is a memoir by American attorney Bryan Stevenson that documents his career defending disadvantaged clients.

​The activity:

​We'll talk about what we liked, disliked, and what we loved from the book. All while enjoying some delicious pica-pica.

​Everyone coming will bring something to bite, and that way we can focus only on the discussion & having a good time.

​The list for the snacks and drinks will be on the group chat, so we don't repeat ourselves :)

​Introducing the host Madalina:

​Prior to settling down in Barcelona, in the last 9 years I never continually lived in the same country for more than 3 months. I got married during Covid, while in Brazil, using the services of a Shark Tank startup for military forces (my partner was not in the military, but I still made it happen!)
