Cured Conversations: Accra
A curated afternoon of conversation, camaraderie and light bites, for multi-hyphenates navigating the space between, where one version of you ends and another begins.
Liminal: It's the space in between. The hallway between rooms. The exhale between one chapter and the next. Most people pass through liminal space; multi-hyphenates tend to set up shop there.
Cured Conversations Accra - is an afternoon designed not to fix the in-between, but to recognise, reconnect and uncover.
The food is part of the story. Light bites are by Kingston Kitchen, Jamaican cuisine by Sharna Darko, a South London born, Accra based entrepreneur who like the rest of us, has never stayed in just one lane.
She started in fashion. A degree, years as a buyer across the UK and South Africa, then her own womenswear boutique. That world taught her everything about curation, presentation, and making people feel something; skills she carried with her when her creativity moved into food industry.
Fast forward, today, Kingston Kitchen is a Jamaican patty brand with nine flavours and a growing range of Caribbean small bites. The food on your plate was made by a classic multi-hyphenate, someone who knows exactly what it is to live in between.
