Understand individual and collective perceptions
Practice open and kind dialogue
Agenda
6:30 PM: Gather at indoor entrance (look for a person holding a sign), exchange welcomes and names
6:40 PM: Brief introduction to the analytical approach, and then explore art individually or in small groups using the approach.
8:15 PM: Reconvene for a closing conversation

Important Notes
This is not a guided tour. This is informal art exploration and discussion.
We'll move through Wieland's paintings, textiles, films, and assemblages together using a shared analytical approach.
Bring curiosity about how art intersects with areas like ecology and politics etc.
The poster image for this event is from Joyce Wieland, Young Woman's Blues, 1964.
FAQs:
Q1: Do I need to be a certain type of person to join this event?
A1: Everyone is welcome no matter the age, gender, race, orientation, ethnicity, ability, political affiliation, etc. We prefer people who are kind, open, and nuanced in their approach when meeting new people. We prefer people who ask questions in good faith rather than leading with assumptions. If this sounds like you, we’d love to have you.
