Rejection Sensitivity (RSD): Why It Hurts and How to Cope
Rejection sensitivity is something Kim sees come up again and again in coaching, especially for latediagnosed ADHD women and marginalised folks. It often shows up when people want to start posting online, sharing their ideas, speaking up at work, or putting themselves out there in any visible way.
In this session, we’ll unpack what rejection sensitivity actually is, why people with ADHD are more impacted by it, and how past experiences can make it feel even more intense. We’ll look at the patterns that keep people stuck, like overthinking, avoidance, and replaying conversations long after they’ve happened.
You’ll also work through practical ways to reduce emotional spirals and start building resilience to rejection, including small, realistic steps you can take to approach things you’ve been avoiding without forcing yourself or shutting down.
