Día de Muertos — Those we love never leave 💀
💀🌼 A Little Piece of Mexico
Ever wondered how Mexicans celebrate Día de Muertos? Or just looking for an excuse to enjoy a different kind of night in Porto?
We’re Isabel & Alejandra, two Mexicans living in Porto, and we’re bringing a little piece of home to the city — and you’re invited.
Día de Muertos is one of Mexico’s most beloved traditions: a celebration of life, memory, and the people who remain part of our stories, even when they’re no longer with us. It’s a time for gathering around a table, sharing stories, enjoying good food, and keeping memories alive.
And that’s exactly what we want to share with you.
🌼 Your evening includes
A welcome drink: Choose between mezcalita, paloma, or a mocktail.
Mexican snacks: Enjoy some spicy snacks and pan de muerto, the traditional sweet bread made for this celebration.
Mexican traditions & culture: Discover the meaning behind Día de Muertos and how it’s celebrated in Mexico.
La Ofrenda: Help us create a traditional altar and explore the meaning behind its elements.
A personal tribute: Bring a photo, image, or small object to remember someone special that’s no longer in the physical world.
Music & good company: Stay, mingle, share stories, and enjoy the evening together.
Come curious. Leave with a story.
¡Nos vemos pronto! 🌼
