Food for the Future
FOOD FOR THE FUTURE
As food systems face increasing pressure from climate change, resource constraints and shifting consumption patterns, there is an urgent need to accelerate collaboration across innovation, markets, sectors and capital flows.
Jointly organised by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and Capricornio Capital, this event explores the future of food systems through the lens of growing markets, which will represent the next few billion consumers. Food for the Future highlights the perspective of who this future ultimately serves and the role these markets will play as key stakeholders in the global food ecosystem, from agriculture and biodiversity to supply chains and climate innovation.
With speakers from Danone, Google, L'Oréal and others, the sessions will explore the intersection of food systems, nutrition and human development, recognising that the future of food is not only about feeding growing populations but nourishing them, while examining how innovation, climate adaptation and the emerging bioeconomy are reshaping food systems and redefining the role of agriculture and biodiversity.
