About Event

With pizza!

Last week you turned your idea into a problem statement and put it through the Problem Reality Test. This week you find out what holds up.

With AI, anyone can build a product in a weekend. Building is no longer the hard part. Real learning is.

Week 2 is about putting your IUP (Initial Untested Product) in front of real users and testing your riskiest assumption: the one that sinks the idea if it's wrong.

Some mentors and TEL staff will be at the tables to help you make sense of what you heard, what broke and what to test next. Here, a broken assumption counts as progress.

Bring:

  • What you heard from the five people you talked to this week

  • What broke, and what surprised you

  • Your problem statement, updated if it changed

  • Your IUP, or whatever you've built so far, ready to show

New this week? You can still join. Come with a team, a project of your own or just curiosity, and we'll help you get started with one of the Problem Drop challenges or your own idea.

Coming up: On Week 3, Wednesday, October 14, Christopher Mende from Google leads a workshop on defining your value proposition: what makes your idea worth paying for, and why users can't just build it themselves.

Food provided. Open to all UW–Madison students.
