

🌿 Wellness & Reflection Day with Bhante Dhammawansha
A full day retreat dedicated to mindfulness, gentle movement, and open discussion. Guided by Bhante Dhammawansha, a practicing Buddhist monk, this day provides space to step back, recharge, and reconnect with presence.
Program
9:00 AM – 9:30 AM | Opening Circle & Intention Setting (30 min)
Welcome, introductions, chanting, and setting shared intentions for the day.
9:30 AM – 10:00 AM | Sitting Meditation (25 min)
Guided breath practice to center the mind and settle into awareness.
10-15min | Pause & Refresh
10:15 AM – 10:45 AM | Yoga (30 min) Led by Saar/Max
Mindful movement practice to bring focus into everyday steps.
10-15min | Pause & Refresh
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM | Standing Meditation (25 min)
Exploring presence while grounded in posture and breath.
10-15min | Pause & Refresh
11:45 PM – 12:45 PM | Bhante Dhammawansha Talk & Group Dialogue - #1 (1hr)
Teachings on mindfulness and wellness, followed by Q&A and shared reflections.
12:45 AM – 1:10 PM | Walking meditation (25 min)
Mindful movement to release tension
1:10 PM – 1:25 PM | Pause & Refresh (15 min)
1:25 PM – 2:25 PM | Community Potluck Lunch (1 hr)
A nourishing shared meal. Please bring a simple dish, salad, fruit, or leaves for tea. There will be some turkish coffee. Silence is encouraged, but light conversation is welcome.
2:25 PM – 2:40 PM | Quick Stretch - QiGong (15 min) Led by David Paterson
2:40 PM – 3:40 PM | Bhante Dhammawansha Talk & Group Dialogue - #2 (1hr)
Teachings on mindfulness and wellness, followed by Q&A and shared reflections.
3:40 PM – 4:00 PM | Closing Meditation (20 min)
A final practice to integrate insights from the day.
4:00 PM – 4:30 PM | Closing Circle (30 min)
Reflections, gratitude, and intentions to carry forward.

Wear comfortable clothing suitable for meditation and light movement.
Optional white clothes for our day of silent meditation, noble seekers
Bring a refillable water bottle and yoga mat (if you have one).
For lunch, please bring a simple contribution (dish, salad, fruit, or tea leaves). Note: Nut allergy :-)
The day will include both silence and conversation; each session will guide you on what’s encouraged.
Dāna (generosity) is the Buddhist practice of giving from the heart. You’re welcome to offer support through bringing food, helping with setup/cleanup, or sharing your skills (guided meditation, yoga, etc).
Please donate $20 for attendance. This will be used for Bhantei's accommodation and travel costs.
