Climate writers 🌱 June ft. UN youth consultation
Concerned about climate change? We host monthly gatho's to contact politicians on climate action, and learn about solutions from experts.
This June, join a youth consultation where your ideas will be delivered directly to the Australian Government (DCCEEW) and the United Nations (UNFCCC).
Led by UNICEF, the Australian Youth Rep to the United Nations, and AYFICE, this session covers how major climate advocacy processes work, including COP summits and UNFCCC mechanisms, and how young Australians are influencing them at home and abroad.
Through interactive exercises, your input will feed directly into the National and Global Youth Statements presented at COP31 and submitted to the federal Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water. What would you tell your decision-makers if you had the chance?

🌱 About Climate Writers:
Climate Writers is a grassroots community that empowers everyday Australians to become lifelong advocates for the environment and their local community. Starting out as living room gatho’s with friends, we have since grown into a community of 400+ people, who have sent 800+ personalised letters to politicians on climate action, met with dozens of MPs, and contributed to a policy paper presented to the NSW Minister. Through monthly gatho’s across Australia, we aim to elevate the conversation about climate to a massive and sustained scale that is impossible for all politicians to ignore.
We're 100% volunteer-run and politically non-partisan.
