​In this deeply reflective and lyrical collection, Najmi explores questions of home, belonging, grief, and memory through essays that move between personal experience and broader cultural histories. The book traces the emotional landscapes of migration, family, and identity while asking how we create meaning across time and place.

​Samina Najmi teaches U.S. literature at California State University, Fresno. Her award-winning memoir-in-essays Sing Me a Circle was published in 2025 by Trio House Press. The book received a starred review from Publishers Weekly and was named one of Poets & Writers’ Top Five Nonfiction Debuts of 2025.
