About Event
Despite marketing itself as a world-class tourist destination and the gem of the Caribbean, The Bahamas has a high rate of gender-based violence. Two-Faced: Gender Inequality in The Bahamas, a Gina Rodgers-Sealy film, is a documentary that explores rape culture, the discriminatory constitution, the lack of women's right in the country, the refusal of the government to criminalize marital rape, and the root causes of gender inequality in the country.
The documentary will be screened at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas on West Hill Street on Thursday, November 27 at 6pm.
