About Event

This Mandela Day, the Green Squad is inviting everyone to help create green breathing spaces where people, place and nature connect.

Join us at the Langtafel on Bree Street for two hands-on 67 minute activations, inspired by Nelson Mandela's call to give 67 minutes in service of others.

🌱 001 | 67 Minutes to Grow Together 🕑 2:00pm to 3:00pm

Together we'll plant resilient South African succulents, turning forgotten spaces into symbols of resilience, hope and renewal.

📍 Meet: Corner of Bree and Shortmarket Street 🌵 Bring: A succulent from home, or plant one of ours.

🌼 002 | 67 Minutes to Spread the Daisies 🕒 3:00pm to 4:00pm

Bring your own tote bag or T-shirt and have it screen printed with the iconic Inner City Daisy, designed by Heather Moore. A symbol of joy and optimism, the daisy reminds us that small acts can brighten a city.
