Who is this retreat for?
This retreat aimed at anyone who is thinking proactively about their own self-care. Perhaps you are a busy professional who sometimes struggles with work life balance. You might be navigating specific challenges in your life at the moment and feel the need to resource yourself. Or you might be someone who already knows the value of deep intentional rest.
This retreat is for you if you:
Struggle to switch off
Seek practical tools to prevent burnout
Need space to pause, reflect and gain some clarity
What to expect
A person centred approach to burnout prevention.
We understand that each person is different and choice is an important component of this retreat.
You will be able to choose from a gentle flexible structure including small group and one to one sessions.
Some of the key themes which you will be invited to explore with us are:
Nervous system regulation and the value of deep intentional rest.
Learning to skilfully manage and regulate your own nervous system is an invaluable skill. We are all unique and there is no such thing as a ‘one size fits all’ approach. We will guide you through some of the most cutting edge and effective mind and bodywork practices which will enable you to understand and navigate your own nervous system. We will also reflect on the theme of intentional rest and reflect on the role of rest in your life.
Relational mindfulness – the key to cultivating presence.
Presence is almost universally recognised as a core professional competency which requires mastery. Unsurprisingly, the key to cultivating it is practicing mindfulness. If you have tried and failed to practice mindfulness before, don’t worry, we will demystify the practice and make it completely accessible for you.
Developing Self-Awareness: True inner strength is only possible when we develop self-awareness. This session uses Internal Family Systems (IFS), a respected psychological framework that offers practical insight into the internal patterns influencing decision-making, stress responses and habits that can quietly contribute to burnout. Participants will identify and understand the “parts” of themselves e.g., perfectionistic, self-critical, over-functioning, or avoidant tendencies that drive habitual responses under stress. Recognising these patterns allows us to make conscious choices rather than reacting automatically. IFS offers insight and tools to act with clarity, resilience, and compassion, protecting the health & wellbeing of both themselves and the people they care about.
