Gather Close, Gather Often

, the traditional Japanese art of decorative mending. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn simple stitching techniques to repair, reinforce, and transform worn fabrics into something beautiful.

You’ll practice classic Sashiko stitches and patterns while giving new life to fabric that might otherwise be discarded. Bring along a favorite worn garment or fabric, or simply come ready to stitch and experiment.

Mending supplies provided, but please bring one or more pieces of clothing (with big holes!) that you'd like to work on during class.
