​Join our Founder Lois Sarkodie for a full-day hands-on masterclass in garment alterations. A practical, empowering session designed to help you care for, repair, and transform the clothes you already own.

​Whether you're a complete beginner or have dabbled with a needle and thread, this workshop takes you through everything from threading a sewing machine to inserting a zip. Over the course of the day, you'll build real, transferable skills across five core areas:

​We'll start with a thorough introduction to tools and equipment before moving through hemming, taking in excess fabric for a better fit, and waist adjustments, including elastic waistbands and simple darts. After a short break, the afternoon covers repairs and fixes (buttons, holes, and decorative patches), a deep dive into fastenings, and finally, dedicated time to apply everything you've learned to a garment of your own.

​You'll leave with the confidence to alter, repair, and restyle your wardrobe.

​What to bring: Please come with two garments: a plain t-shirt (for practice) and one item from your wardrobe that you'd like to alter. Avoid anything too thick or structured such as jeans or leather, as these are tricky to work with on a standard machine & universal needle but learnings will be provided.
