Prime Intellect Co-Founder & CTO: Johannes Hagemann

​Come for a chat and stay for dinner, Johannes started out in a residency in Berlin! Aurea House. Now, he is a unicorn founder.

​A bit about Johannes his own words:

​I'm an SF based AI researcher and co-founder of Prime Intellect. Subjects I love to discuss to no end are open source superintelligence, semis, energy abundance, definite techno-optimism,decentralized science and many others - far too many for a currently normal lifespan, which is one of the reasons I'm also into longevity.

​After reading the Scaling Hypothesis in 2020, I got extremely scaling-pilled and shifted my entire focus to LLMs. I joined Aleph Alpha early 2022, to help build a novel, distributed training framework from scratch with state-of-the-art efficiency.
Following endlessly discussions on the latest AI research, @vincentweisser and I decided at end of 2023 to go all in on Prime Intellect to build our vision of an open and decentralized future of AI.

​At Prime Intellect we are building the stack for open superintelligence - from frontier agentic models to the infra that empowers any start-up, researcher or lab to train, fine-tune and deploy superintelligence.

​We have recently raised $15m in funding led by Founders Fund, with participation from Karpathy, Tri Dao, Dylan Patel, Clem Delangue, Emad Mostaque and many others.
