Hands-On Coding with OpenAI Codex: Build 3 End-to-End Projects
Most developers use AI coding tools for code snippets, bug fixes and isolated tasks. This live, hands-on OpenAI Codex workshop shows you how to use AI coding agents across complete software projects—from planning and implementation to debugging, testing, review and delivery.
Led by Alexandru Constantin and Altaf Rehmani, this advanced workshop is designed for developers who want to move beyond one-off prompting and learn how to build software with Codex in a structured, controlled and repeatable way.
What will you build in this OpenAI Codex workshop?
You will work through three connected, end-to-end projects:
Project 1: Build and ship a small app
Start with a project brief and use Codex to plan, implement and ship a working application with a clear structure and maintainable code.
Project 2: Debug and refactor the app
Return to the application, identify problems, refactor the code and strengthen the workflow with testing, regression safeguards and structured review.
Project 3: Orchestrate a team of AI agents
Use skills, subagents and connected context to coordinate multiple agents across exploration, implementation, testing and review.
Together, these projects show you how to use Codex at project scale rather than only for individual coding tasks.
What will you learn?
By the end of this OpenAI Codex workshop, you will be able to:
Use Codex across planning, coding, debugging, testing, review and delivery
Break complex software projects into controlled phases
Build and reuse skills for project-level workflows
Use subagents for parallel work and scoped problem-solving
Coordinate multiple AI agents across larger development tasks
Apply code-review agents and adversarial review techniques
Debug and harden applications with tests and regression safeguards
Connect external tools and project context to Codex workflows
Choose between local, IDE, CLI and cloud execution
Ship faster without losing quality, control or maintainability

Why attend this Codex workshop?
The challenge with AI-assisted development is not generating more code. It is controlling how that code is planned, implemented, tested and reviewed.
This workshop teaches you how to make Codex work as an engineering collaborator rather than an unpredictable code generator. You will learn practical workflows for building larger applications safely, reviewing AI-generated changes and creating repeatable systems your team can reuse.
What is included?
✔ Live, hands-on instruction
✔ Three end-to-end Codex projects
✔ Workflow templates and reusable systems
✔ Practical implementation patterns
✔ Full workshop recording
✔ Certificate of completion
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is ideal for:
Software developers already using Codex, Copilot, Claude, Cursor or similar AI coding tools
Full-stack and backend developers exploring agentic coding
Senior developers, staff engineers and technical leads
Indie hackers and technical founders
Engineering teams standardising AI-assisted development workflows
Developers who want to move from task-level prompting to project-level orchestration
Prerequisites
You should be comfortable building software in at least one programming language.
You will also need:
A ChatGPT account with Codex access
Optionally, Visual Studio Code or the Codex CLI for the exercises
Basic familiarity with AI coding tools
Prior experience with Codex is useful, but not required.
