About Event

As AI-assisted engineering makes it easier to generate code, many assumptions we’ve relied on when designing systems start to break down.

This edition of API Connect is a focused, in-person conversation on how engineering teams are rethinking system design in a world where code is cheaper, iteration is faster, and mistakes can propagate at scale.

We’ll look at practical questions teams are already facing:

Join us for another edition of API Connect!

We’re excited to bring you another edition of our quarterly API Connect series. This time, we’re exploring what it means to design systems that actually survive in the age of AI-assisted engineering.

In this session, we’ll explore:

  • What changes when code is cheap and specs become the real leverage point?

  • How do you design systems that remain reliable under rapid iteration and AI-assisted execution?

  • What should a high-quality spec or design doc contain in this new world?

  • How do you design for failure — not as an afterthought, but as a core input?

  • How do you handle retries, backpressure, and degraded states when systems are under stress?

  • What does “safe failure” actually look like in modern distributed systems?

  • How do you maintain consistency when providers, networks, or dependencies fail?

  • How do you design systems that are understandable and executable by both humans and AI tools?

...and many more.

The session will combine short, speaker-led walkthroughs with open discussion, real scenarios, and shared experiences from engineers designing and operating systems today.

API Connect is intentionally small and conversation-driven, designed for developers, engineers, and technical leaders who already work with APIs and want to understand how AI is changing the rules in practice.

To learn more about API Connect and why we're doing this, please view this page.

Limited Seats Available: We can only accomodate a limited number of attendees. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with industry leaders, share experiences, and learn from the best.
