Slow Networking 🦥 for Introverts + Guest Speaker Diane Wang
Do you often go to networking events and feel like they are a waste of time? Because everything feels transactional and gives you the “ick” - where people only talk to you if there’s something in it for them? Or they're handing out business cards left and right? 😒
Well, thankfully, at our slow networking 🦥 event, we don't do all those things. Where many people focus on instant gratification and fast results, we want to focus on the opposite - slow, intentional, deep connections.
✨ Where everyone gets the chance to speak and be heard.
✨Where there will be no awkward interruptions.
✨ Where we give you the time to reflect and share your thoughts without having the need to put up a front or performance or having to use alcohol to ease nerves
In a quiet, intimate space (capped at 12 people), we provide the structure so you never have to worry about what to say or how to fit in. You get to slow down, connect deeply, and feel truly seen.
Yes, introverts, we see you 👀. You can finally let your guard down and take off your mask.
And extroverts/ambiverts, you can come too and sprinkle in some of your amazing energy. 🌟
🕰️ How the Evening Flows
We’ve intentionally designed the evening to feel calm, spacious, and unrushed:
🌿 First Hour: Slow Networking & Connection
We’ll guide you through cozy activities and thoughtful prompts to help you get to know others naturally and at your own pace — without awkward small talk or pressure to perform.
🌿 Second Hour: Interactive Workshop with Diane
After you’ve had time to settle in and connect, we’ll transition into a gentle, embodied workshop focused on holistic health and body awareness.
This two-part structure allows you to warm up socially first, then relax into deeper reflection and learning.
✨ Guest Speaker: Diane (Dandan) Wang (@harmonizewellnessacuherbs)
Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner & Acupuncturist
Alongside our slow networking experience, we’re excited to welcome our guest speaker, Diane (Dandan) Wang 🥁👏 a practitioner trained in both Traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and our personal acupuncturist.
Born into a family of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioners and representing six generations of Li family acupuncture from Nanyang, Henan Province, Diane blends ancient wisdom with modern medical understanding. She is also a Registered Massage Therapist, yoga teacher, and former Registered Nurse.
What we love most about Diane is not just her depth of knowledge, but her genuine curiosity and care for helping people understand their bodies in a gentle, accessible way.
In this interactive workshop, Diane will guide us through:
🌿 an introduction to tongue reading & what it reveals in TCM
🌿 a chance to observe & reflect on your own tongue (you're welcome to take a photo for personal reference)
🌿 a gentle Qiqong breathing practice and the chance to observe how it may subtly shift what you see in your body...and even on your tongue
🌿 Stories and insights into what drew her into TCM
🌿 Open space for questions and reflection
This isn’t about diagnosing or “fixing” anything on the spot.
It’s about learning to listen to your body with more awareness, compassion, and curiosity in a way that feels safe and supportive.
Just like our slow networking experience, everything is optional and designed to meet you where you are. 💖
