Hand-to-Mind Club Writing Competition
This year, The Smile Outreach is marking International Day of the Girl Child with the Hand-to-Mind Club Writing Competition, an initiative designed to inspire creativity, advocacy, and leadership among adolescent girls.
📌 What’s Happening?
✅ Engaging 20 schools (existing and new Hand-to-Mind Clubs) in a nationwide writing competition.
✅ Students express their thoughts on key societal issues through storytelling and essays.
✅ Competition Finals (October 10): Shortlisted contestants will pitch their entries to a panel of judges at #VAV25.
✅ Awards Ceremony on at VAV Annual event
🏆 ₦500,000 scholarship for the top-performing student.
🏆 Trophy for the winning school.
📚 Expansion of Hand-to-Mind Clubs: 5 new schools will receive 100 comics, flashcards, and a Bold Spaces Club launch.
🌟 Spotlighting 30 Young Changemakers (October 1 – October 31, 2025)
Throughout October, The Smile Outreach will feature the top 30 contestants of the Hand-to-Mind Club Writing Competition across our social media platforms.
