A lightly facilitated session for people looking to contribute to AI safety, regardless of your career stage. Whether you're just starting out or already involved in AI safety work, this session will help you reflect on uncertainties, surface and address blockers, and clarify your next steps.
You might feel compelled to help reduce the worst risks from advanced AI, but contributing to AI safety and governance can also be very challenging. This is a relatively new field limited in its capacity to absorb talent, entry is getting more competitive every year, the urgency can be psychologically taxing, and the risks and scenarios themselves are highly uncertain.
This session makes space to turn that willingness into something more concrete.
Through individual journalling, guided reflections in small groups, and open discussion, you'll have room to: surface what's actually in the way, exchange what's working, clarify priorities, and identify what comes next.
We hope you leave with a clearer sense of what you want to do differently or pursue further in AI safety.
No background required. Just bring something to write on: a notebook, a laptop, or simply your phone.
