A Pocket Full of Memories: Childhood Memories Series | October 8

​A Pocket Full of Memories is an intimate look into my Childhood Memories Series, inspired by family, faith, culture, healing and growing up in Philadelphia.

​Art has been part of my own journey back to myself. It gave me a place to listen, heal, remember and make sense of experiences I once held quietly. Over time, that personal process became part of how I teach, how I connect with people and how I use the gift God gave me.

​This exhibition also marks a new chapter in my work. My earlier collections became known for bold color, powerful abstract imagery and my signature faces. Now I’m bringing that same artistic language into the stories of my childhood, while finding my way back to abstraction with a deeper sense of who I am and what I want my work to say.

​Guests will also experience a special statement piece that represents this next evolution of my work, presented publicly for the first time.

​More than an exhibition, I want this to feel like an experience. An intimate evening inside a family home, surrounded by original art, conversation, refreshments and good company. A space to connect, network, share stories and recognize pieces of our own lives in one another.
