About Event

For our final event of the year, we’re partnering with Techniker Krankenkasse (TK), Germany’s largest statutory health insurer, and welcoming its CEO, Dr Jens Baas, onto the stage.

Germany has strong research, committed clinicians and ambitious founders. The harder part is the route from a good idea to a solution that a hospital adopts and a payer reimburses.

That route runs through insurers, researchers and clinicians, and they rarely share a room, let alone a stage.

On 19 November, they will! Live and unscripted, we invite a payer, a researcher and a clinician to talk openly about what it takes to get a health innovation from the lab into routine care. 🏥

What to expect

  • The Panel: Dr Jens Baas (TK), Prof Sławomir Stańczak (Fraunhofer HHI) and Prof Frank Giordano (clinical perspective) on stage, on the real barriers, trade-offs and what it takes to scale.

  • Startup pitches: 4 hand-picked startups, five minutes each, followed by questions from investors and the audience.

  • Open mic: one minute per startup, no slides. Problem, idea, ask. A handful of slots go to audience members who apply.

  • Captain tables curated networking: four themed tables (demand, research transfer, clinical validation, funding and scale), each hosted by a table captain who shares expertise.

Whether you work in research, clinical care, health systems or funding, or are building something new, come to hear what each side really needs, and find the people who can move your work forward. 🩺

Food and drinks provided.
