Online Across Oregon • 4 Days of Building

Portland has always built things that matter. Now it’s time to build what’s next.

The Oregon State Online Claude Hackathon is a statewide AI build event bringing together engineers, designers, artists, founders, and experimental builders from across Oregon and beyond for four days of creating with Claude and Vibes DIY.

Whether you’re building advanced AI workflows, experimenting with agents, deploying a polished app, or just starting your journey with modern AI tools, this hackathon is designed to help you ship something real.

100 online spots available per track.

What Is This?

This is a fully online hackathon built for remote collaboration, fast iteration, and ambitious experimentation.

You’ll have four days to build from anywhere — Portland, Bend, Eugene, Salem, Medford, Coos Bay, Yachats, or anywhere else in the world.

Two tracks. One statewide build event.

🔵 Claude Code Track

Built for engineers and technical builders working with:

  • Claude Code

  • AI agents

  • Tool-use pipelines

  • LLM applications

  • AI-powered workflows

  • Experimental interfaces

  • Automation systems

Build something ambitious and technically impressive. Projects will be reviewed by engineers, investors, and media.

🟡 Vibes DIY Track

For fast builders, designers, creatives, and hackers who want to move from idea to deployed app quickly.

No heavy infrastructure.
No backend wrestling.
Just rapid creation and shipping.

Creativity, usefulness, originality, and execution matter here.

Both tracks use Claude.
Both tracks are real.
Both tracks are built to help you ship.

What to Expect

  • Four days of online building

  • Solo or team participation (up to 4 people)

  • API credits provided to participants courtesy of Anthropic

  • Dedicated online community and coordination channels

  • Demo submissions and judging

  • Prizes across multiple tracks

  • A statewide network of builders creating together in real time

This is not a casual online meetup pretending to be a hackathon.

This is a serious build event designed for people who want to create, experiment, and launch.

Why Oregon. Why Now.

Oregon has quietly produced incredible engineers, artists, designers, founders, and creative technologists for years.

This hackathon is about connecting that talent across cities, communities, and disciplines into one shared moment of building.

The AI era is happening now.
Oregon should be building alongside it — not watching from the sidelines.

Whether you’re an experienced engineer or someone shipping your first AI app, this is your chance to participate in something bigger than a single project.

Register Now

Spots are limited to 100 participants per track.

Got multiple ideas? Good.

Participants are welcome to submit across multiple tracks with multiple concepts. This is one of the few hackathons where going all-in is encouraged.
