Combat Bots Showdown

Combat Bots Showdown is landing at the Portland State University Business Accelerator for a laid-back day of bot battles, casual driving, and good chaos. Hosted by PDX Hacks alongside ROSA, this is a chance to check out the new space, meet other builders, and spend a few hours watching tiny machines bump, spin, scramble, and survive.

The format is simple, bring a bot, find an opponent, and hop into the arena. Antweights, plastic antweights, and fairyweights are all welcome. There are no brackets and no serious tournament pressure, just open arena time to fight your friends, test ideas, and enjoy the action.

New to combat robotics? Come anyway. There will be bots on hand for newcomers to drive, so you can get a feel for the controls and the fun without needing to bring your own setup. If you do have a bot, definitely bring it, this event is built for people to show up, plug in, and play.

Spectators are absolutely welcome, too. If you want to watch clever designs collide, cheer on a favorite, and see what the local bot scene looks like up close, you will have plenty to enjoy. Expect a friendly, energetic atmosphere with plenty of chances to chat between fights and see what everyone has been building.

Join us for an easygoing meetup full of sparks, scrapes, laughter, and robot mayhem. Whether you are here to battle, drive for the first time, or just watch the arena action, Combat Bots Showdown is set up to be a very fun way to spend your Saturday in Portland.
