Chicago's Climate Frontlines: Environmental Justice Bus Tour of Southeast Side
Join community leaders for a guided tour of Chicago's Southeast Side to explore the intersection of industrial pollution, environmental justice, and climate change. Learn how decades of environmental burdens have shaped this community, and how residents have transformed grassroots organizing into historic victories, including the successful fight against General Iron and the recent passage of Illinois' landmark Environmental Justice Act (SB3772).
Along the way, you'll hear directly from the advocates and residents who have led these efforts while visiting key sites that tell the story of environmental injustice, community resilience, and the movement for a healthier, more equitable future.
