About Event

If you didn’t wake up a loser, and you are not a car, this event might be for you.

There are no presentations or demos this time. We’ve hired out a private space (basically an actual opium den, for you AI addicts) where a small group of ~20 people can just talk to each other about how they’re tokenmaxxing with AI agents/tooling to 100x their workflows.

No tourists.

To keep the group cracked, this event is by application only, with very limited spots. If you aren't accepted, don’t worry, we’ll be running a bigger one again next month (first Wednesday of every month).

Note: Food is covered thanks to the legends at Iterate (see our sponsors below). Drinks are on you, G.

Agenda

5:30pm - 6:00pm: Doors open to our private space in the Sweatshop basement of Seamstress.

6:00pm - 8:30pm: Food starts to be served, while you chat with a curated group of designers, developers and marketers who are burning tokens and using AI to automate their workflows.

8:30pm: Go home to check on your agents (or you're welcome to keep hanging out).

FAQ

What are we going to do at the meetup?

  • Feel the AGI on the first Wednesday of every month.

  • Sit around at a cool venue in Melbourne and talk to each other about AI.

  • Share practical ideas and examples of what we've been experimenting with in our workflows.

  • Talk about the most interesting things that have happened in AI over the last few weeks.

  • Speed-run our collective existential crisis.

  • Figure out how our roles and workflows are evolving together.

You SHOULD apply if:

  • You are optimistic about technology and AI, and want to explore the new frontier.

  • You live your life a quarter mile at a time and --dangerously-skip-permissions.

  • You are actively building, creating, automating or vibe-coding things with AI.

  • You are learning about and experimenting with AI in your free time.

  • You are using any kind of AI coding agents (OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Amp Code, etc).

  • You are using AI tools for design, video, image or content creation.

  • You are creating and managing AI agents for your own automations.

DO NOT apply if:

  • You basically have a fake job and don't do any real work.

  • You are an AI doomer who wants to nuke the data centres from orbit.

  • You think "workflow optimization" means scheduling another recurring meeting.

  • You think AI is just hype, but haven't actually tried building anything with it.

  • You haven't shipped anything real in your life, but you have a lot of AI takes.

  • Your role exists to slow things down, add friction or wait for permission.

Is this meetup a joke?

Yes (the domain is https://aiops.lol).

Is this meetup real?

What is real? If you're talking about what you can feel, smell, taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain. This is the world you know. You've been living in a dreamworld.

When are the speakers coming?

Never.
