The Lighthouse Peyote Retreat
A ceremony in the tradition of the Camino del Venado Azul
A 2-night ceremonial retreat on a 52-hectare nature estate in the Netherlands | 27 – 29 August 2027
There is only one place on earth where peyote grows wild: a high desert in north-central Mexico called Wirikuta. For centuries it has been a place of pilgrimage for the Wixárika people, and the tradition that holds this ceremony has been kept alive there for generations.
In summer 2027, two guides from that land are coming to Yūgen Forest to hold a peyote ceremony in the tradition of the Camino del Venado Azul, the Path of the Blue Deer.
Lalo and Alhelí walk as apprentices to the elders who carry this lineage. Their work keeps them close to their land, and trips this far are uncommon. We are honored they have chosen to bring their tradition to the Netherlands for us.
This is the most elemental of our Lighthouse retreats, and for many people, the one that goes deepest.
Who is it for?
The Peyote Lighthouse is not a beginner’s ceremony. It is for people who have done some of this work before and are ready to go further and surrender to the ancient intelligence of nature.

What to expect
This is an intimate retreat for up to 12 participants, held in a safe, nurturing environment and supported by a team of skilled facilitators. The program consists of:
A 1:1 pre-retreat conversation to explore physical and emotional readiness
A preparatory online session to support safe, aligned participation
A traditional plant ceremony held in sacred space with professional guidance
Simple accommodation in an intimate, private venue
Grounding practices including breathwork, meditation, and gentle movement
Integration sessions to help land and anchor the insights received
Intentional silence and time in nature to listen deeply
