Gathered x Talaysay | Forest Therapy at Rice Lake
For women in sustainability — slow down, step into the forest, and connect.
Created by Carmen Turner and Kim Hallwood, Gathered creates spaces for women working in sustainability. Not a networking event. Not a panel. Just a small group of women who care deeply about the same things, brought together in a space that lets you actually exhale.
We've gathered in a Montreal social sauna, floated on a sauna boat — and this July, we're going into the forest.
What we're doing
We're partnering with Talaysay Tours — an Indigenous-led nature wellness company — for a guided forest bathing experience at Rice Lake in North Vancouver.
Forest bathing isn't a hike. It's a slow, sensory immersion: gentle invitations to breathe deeply, move quietly, and notice the world around you through sight, sound, touch, and presence. The session closes with shared tea and a reflective circle together.
For people who spend their days thinking about the natural world, being in it is its own kind of restoration.
