The host's birthday — come dressed. Friday 23 October, Loft in Flatiron: tiles on the tables, a pool table in the back, a floor laid for the night and a set built for talking over until it isn't. Play, talk, switch tables.

Under the palm-frond lamps the room runs long — brick on one side, foliage on the other, the bar between. Take a table and keep it, or leave it for the floor.

Doors at 10, the intro lesson from 10:30 to 11, the floor after. Bar open all night, last pour 12:30, lights up at 1.
