About Event

ATTENTION: This workshop is for Windows users. If you're an Apple Mac user, you want this workshop -> https://luma.com/lf8v0nux

Requirements:

  • A reasonably modern Windows Computer. (Last 3/4 Years)

  • A paid subscription to Claude Pro or ChatGPT Plus (or above)

  • There will be a short 1-hour tutorial to run through before we start to get everyone's machines in the right state.

Details:

You've heard the hype about AI assistants that can actually do things — send messages, manage your inbox, automate your workflows. But every tutorial assumes you already know your way around a terminal or advanced computing concepts.

This one doesn't.

In this hands-on online workshop, I'll walk you step-by-step through setting up your very own personal AI assistant using OpenClaw — the open-source tool that's taken the tech world by storm. No prior technical experience required. Just a Windows computer and a willingness to get uncomfortable for a couple of hours.

Here's what we'll cover together:

We'll start by setting up a clean, virtualised environment on your machine so you've got a safe sandbox to work in — no risk to your actual machine. Then we'll install and configure OpenClaw, getting it connected and talking to you through a messaging app you already use. And to make sure you walk away with something real, we'll build a simple LinkedIn prospect finder that works while you sleep.

By the end of the session, you won't just understand what an AI assistant is — you'll have one running on your own hardware, doing actual work for you.

This workshop is for founders, freelancers, and anyone who's tired of watching technical people have all the fun. If you can follow instructions and aren't afraid to ask questions, you're qualified.

There is ZERO technical experience needed; I will walk you through every step.

However, we will be using technology you may not have experienced before, and it may be a little confusing at first. We will step through everything one step at a time. The session will be recorded and shared for everyone who has signed up.

What will it cost me?

In addition to the workshop fee, all the software we will be using is open source and costs you nothing; the only cost is the paid subscription to ChatGPT and Claude, the OpenClaw agent will use your daily/monthly usage allowance rather than “pay as you go” tokens.

There is a lot you can do with just these included tokens; however, the more you have your agent do, the more likely you are to hit your account limits and need to upgrade to a higher plan.

Anything you are using your subscription for will contribute to token usage, so if you’re using powerful models frequently or a heavy user of coding tools, then you might hit these limits faster.

Who is Phil?

I'm an engineering leadership consultant who fixes unfixable engineering teams and problems. I have over 20 years of experience as a software engineer and senior engineering leader.

In the past couple of months, I've realised that AI isn't going to replace software engineers, but fundamentally shift who will be building software in the future, and I want to uplift as many people as possible to be "AI-enabled" so they can take advantage of the seismic shift that is happening in technology right now.

You can find out a little more about me at Punk Leadership.
