About Event

The 5 Gyres Institute, in partnership with ecomedes and Silicon Valley Bank, is hosting a session addressing microfiber pollution -- the most ubiquitous type of microplastic pollution and almost impossible to remove from the environment once it's there. Speakers will share the scope of the problem, innovative solutions to curb emissions (from design to filtration), and how attendees can take part in solutions.

Panelists:

  • 5 Gyres - Director of Science & Innovation,  Dr. Lisa Erdle

  • Intrinsic Advanced Materials/Ciclo - CEO & Co-Inventor, Andrea Ferris

  • CleanR - CEO & Co-Founder, Max Pennington

  • Materevolve - Founder & Principal Consultant, Krystle Moody Wood

  • Moderator: Kathleen Egan, CEO & Co-Founder, ecomedes

Light refreshments will be provided. Donations to support 5 Gyres' research, advocacy, and community work are appreciated but not required to attend. https://www.5gyres.org/donate
